Section Brownbag, Greenhouse Gas Regulation: UARG v. EPA
Please join the Environmental & Natural Resources Section for a brown bag presentation on Utility Air Regulatory Group v. EPA. On June 23, 204, the U.S. Supreme Court held that the Clean Air Act neither compels nor permits the Environmental Protection Agency to adopt an interpretation of the Clean Air Act requiring a stationary source of pollution to obtain a "Prevention of Significant Deterioration" or Title V permit on the sole basis of its potential greenhouse-gas emission. Our speakers will discuss this recent case and what it means for future greenhouse gas regulation.
Our speakers will be John T. Krallman, Staff Attorney for Neighbors for Clean Air, and Thomas R. Wood, a Partner at Stoel Rives.
